How to write an essay 101

There are three parts to an essay; introduction, argument and conclusion.

You should prove your point, show you’ve proven it and say what you want to prove. Not specifically in that order.

Subject: who? what? why? when? timeframe? continents? countries? shifting market demands?

Theoretical frameworks:

Use semiotics; culturally specific meanings, signifier/signified/connotation/denotation/icon/pick the most relevant theorist. Marxism would be good because it has a strong female/male contrast and it’s a wealthy magazine, but today it is readily available to everybody.

Don’t explain a framework, say and use terminology to explain why you’ve employed it
